Who is responsible

IronNestWiki, established in the Netherlands, is the controller responsible for this website. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@ironnestwiki.com.

Hosting and essential technical processing

Iron Nest Wiki is self-hosted on privately managed infrastructure in the Netherlands. When your browser requests a page, technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, time of the request and browser information is processed in real time so the server can return the website and protect its availability and security.

Iron Nest Wiki does not retain visitor access logs containing IP addresses or browsing histories. The site has no visitor accounts and does not collect registration or profile information.

This essential processing is based on IronNestWiki's legitimate interest in operating, securing and maintaining the website. It cannot be disabled through the consent settings because the website could not be delivered without it.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is used to understand page visits and navigation so that guides and tools can be improved. Depending on how you use the site, the information sent can include page URLs, search terms contained in those URLs, referrer information, approximate location, and technical details about your browser and device.

Calculator inputs are not sent as custom analytics events. Google Analytics is configured without Google Signals and with IP anonymisation enabled. User-level and event data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage is based on consent collected through Google's consent management platform. Visitors can refuse without losing access to the website. Outside the regions in which a consent or opt-out message is required, Analytics starts under the applicable regional settings.

Consent management and regional choices

Google's consent management platform provides the European regulations message and supported US-state privacy choices. European choices are transmitted through the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF), and supported US-state opt-outs are transmitted through the Global Privacy Platform (GPP).

The site uses Advanced Consent Mode. Before a visitor in a European consent region makes a choice, advertising and analytics storage remain denied. Google tags may send limited, cookieless signals such as consent status and cookieless measurements. They do not use advertising or analytics cookies while the corresponding storage choice remains denied.

Visitors in supported US states can use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control. An opt-out is communicated to Google so that the applicable advertising requests can use restricted data processing.

Cookies and local storage

Depending on region and consent choices, the website can use the following browser storage:

• Consent records: Google's CMP stores the choices needed to remember and transmit TCF or GPP preferences.
• Google Analytics: when analytics storage is permitted, cookies beginning with _ga can distinguish visits and sessions. Google's default expiry for its main analytics cookie is up to two years, although later visits can refresh that duration.
• Google AdSense and advertising partners: when the relevant storage and purposes are permitted, advertising cookies such as __gads or __gpi and comparable partner storage can support ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, measurement and personalisation.

The active consent message lists the purposes and advertising partners available for your region. Browser settings can also be used to remove existing cookies and local storage.

Google as recipient

Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics, Google AdSense and the European consent service for visitors in the European Economic Area. Google and the advertising partners disclosed in the consent message can process information for the purposes selected by the visitor. Data can be processed outside the European Economic Area using the safeguards described in the providers' documentation.

Advertising

Iron Nest Wiki uses Google AdSense on eligible content pages. Depending on the visitor's region and choices, ads can be contextual, personalised, non-personalised or subject to restricted data processing. Personalised advertising can use information about interests, earlier activity and device or browser identifiers when the required permission has been granted.

The privacy policy, search results and error pages do not load Analytics or advertising technology. A consent choice made for one purpose is not treated as permission for a different purpose.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Use the Privacy and cookie settings control added to the bottom of eligible content pages to review or change European consent choices. Supported US-state visitors can use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control. Changing a choice does not affect processing that lawfully took place before the change.

Send a request to privacy@ironnestwiki.com. Requests are handled without undue delay and normally within one month. Information may be requested when reasonably necessary to verify that a request concerns you.

You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated when the site's data practices or service providers change. If a change requires new consent, visitors will be asked to make a new choice before the relevant processing begins.
