Version 1.0 (1618) patch notes
Mission fixes, accessibility settings, reduced memory use and balance changes for IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator.
Fixed
Fire on Call no longer breaks when every target is destroyed before the assault is declared
The current release accounts for targets destroyed before the COMMENCE ASSAULT stage, allowing the mission to continue normally.
- Early target destruction is accounted for before the later assault sequence begins.
- Targets that have already been resolved no longer hold up mission progress.
The final two Rock of Gibraltar medals can now be obtained
The mission now supplies enough countable targets for the Gold Unaided Fire Distinction, while the Austere Service Medal uses attainable requisition limits.
- Austere Service thresholds are now 50 RC for Bronze, 25 RC for Silver and 15 RC for Gold.
- The Gold Unaided Fire Distinction still requires more than two target kills, but the mission now provides enough countable targets.
Incorrect dates on several newspapers were corrected
The current campaign newspapers follow a consistent 1928 chronology from Iron Road through Final Harvest and the White Shells endings.
- Iron Road begins the dated sequence on March 15, 1928.
- Final Harvest is dated November 2, 1928, followed by the main ending newspapers on November 11, 1928.
The cursor is no longer locked in the main menu
The current main menu releases the mouse cursor correctly and restores that state when the menu is opened.
- Free cursor movement is enabled for the main menu.
- The cursor state is restored when the menu becomes active.
Improved
Reduced RAM usage
The developers report lower memory use and state that out-of-RAM conditions caused 15% of reported crashes.
- A controlled before-and-after memory profile is required to measure the runtime reduction.
Phantom Battery mission balance
The current release includes the updated Phantom Battery encounter, but no sufficiently detailed earlier reference is available for a trustworthy value-by-value comparison.
Added
Three colour-blind modes
The graphics settings now include Protanopia, Deuteranopia and Tritanopia correction modes.
Walking camera-tilt slider
Walking camera tilt can be adjusted from 0% to 100%, with the original full-strength effect retained as the default.
World-space input-hint toggle
World interaction prompts can be switched on or off. The setting remains enabled by default.
Camera-shake slider
Camera shake can be adjusted from 0% to 100%, with full strength retained as the default.

- Available evidence supports the change, though further runtime testing could provide final confirmation.
- Developer-reported
- The statement comes from the official changelog and has not been independently measured.
- Not independently confirmed
- There is not enough comparable information available for a reliable independent conclusion.
